What the content is

Fold & Futon publishes editorial comparisons of furniture. The specification figures on this site are recorded from manufacturers’ and retailers’ published listings on the dates stated in each specification block. They are a record of what a listing said on a date; they are not measurements we have taken, and they are not warranties of any kind.

We do not physically test these products. Nothing on this site should be read as a claim of hands-on testing, ownership or first-hand use. The method is described in full on how we choose what to recommend.

Manufacturers revise dimensions, capacities and materials between production runs, and listings change without notice. Always verify critical dimensions with the seller before you buy — particularly the open footprint, the doorway clearance and, for wall beds, the ceiling height and mattress weight limits.

The content here is general information, not professional advice. Nothing on this site is medical advice about sleep or back health, and nothing on it is construction, structural or building-code advice.

Safety

Wall beds, cabinet beds and folding furniture involve heavy moving parts. Install and use them strictly according to the manufacturer’s instructions, within the stated mattress weight and thickness limits, and anchored as the manufacturer requires. Where we discuss installation or safety — for example on are Murphy beds safe — that is general guidance and it does not replace the manufacturer’s instructions or, where appropriate, a qualified installer.

The text, structure, specification tables and editorial scoring on this site are the publisher’s work. You may quote short extracts with attribution and a link. Wholesale reproduction, scraping into a derivative site, or republication of the specification tables without permission is not permitted. Product names and trademarks belong to their owners.
