Who we are

Fold & Futon is published by Magoo Media Group. For any question about this policy or about data we hold, contact contact@foldandfuton.com.

What we do not do

There are no user accounts on this site, no login, no shop and no newsletter. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone, and we do not run advertising networks or retargeting pixels.

What we collect

Contact form submissions. If you use the form on the contact page, we receive the name, email address, topic and message you type. It is sent to us by email and is not stored in a database. We use it to reply to you and, where you have sent a correction, to fix the page. We keep the email for as long as it is useful to have the thread.

Analytics, if enabled. This site is built to run Google Analytics 4 for aggregate traffic measurement — which pages are read, roughly where readers come from, and how many outbound product links are clicked. GA4 sets cookies and processes data on Google’s infrastructure under their own terms. We do not use analytics to identify individuals, and we do not combine it with contact form data.

Server logs. Our host records standard request information — IP address, timestamp, page requested, user agent — for security and operational purposes. We also keep a short-lived, in-memory count of recent contact form submissions per IP address, purely to stop automated spam. It is not persisted.

Outbound links and affiliate cookies

When you click a product link here, you are redirected to a retailer — usually Amazon. That redirect appends our affiliate tag to the destination URL. The retailer then sets its own cookies under its own privacy policy, which is how the commission is attributed. We do not receive your name, address, payment details or order contents from the retailer; we see only aggregate commission reporting.

Third parties involved

• Vercel — hosting and content delivery, which involves standard server logs.
• Google Analytics 4 — aggregate traffic measurement, where enabled.
• Microsoft Graph (Azure) — the service that delivers contact form messages to our inbox.
• Amazon and other retailers — only once you have clicked through to them.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. Any cookies you receive come from Google Analytics, where enabled, or from a retailer after you have clicked an outbound link. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; nothing on this site requires them to function.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Since the only personal information we hold is contact form email, a request is usually straightforward — email contact@foldandfuton.com and we will handle it.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it. There is no separate archive; the dated page is the current version.
